GDM Lindex has just supplied 1600 gabion baskets for a customer complete with all binding wire for soil management projects. These are woven wire mesh gabions with a nominal 80mm mesh opening x 2.7mm mesh wire diameter, and a 4.4mm selvedge wire diameter. They come complete with factory fixed partitions. All wire is mild steel to BS EN 10218-2, Zinc coated, thickness to BS EN 10244-2 and heavy duty PVC sheathed, of nominal 0.5mm wall thickness. Two unit sizes were supplied and these were 2 x 1 x 1 m and 2 x 0.5 x 0.5m.
