Last month was a busy month with our customers supplying parts for their vehicles, machinery and fork lift trucks.

Numerous orders fulfilled covering Land Rover, JCB, Leyand, Thwaites, Ford Ranger, Scania & Farid Compactor vehicle parts. Parts ranged from service items to complete transmissions and even a fully refurbished engine for the Thwaites TD18 truck.
With the Fork Lift Trucks parts were supplied for Crown, Nissan and Clark machines.

We do also supply parts for other brands of machinery. In addition to parts we also supply new and 2nd hand vehicles and equipment.

GDM Lindex Ltd have just supplied flagpoles and flags for a Corporations Head Office.

We have supplied National and Company specific flags for numerous customers over the years. The flags are made to exacting standards and very durable. They are available in a variety of sizes. The poles can be in fibre glass or aluminium.

In addition to flags and flagpoles we can provide feather flags, banners, rope barriers, bunting, table flags, display systems, yacht club burgees and wind socks.

Filtration Information

Further to an initial unit for banned substances recovery equipment (drugs), being supplied in 2010, a repeat order has just been placed by a customer in Israel. This product is installed and in regular use in Police Stations, Prisons, Secure hospitals, Customs and Young Offender Institutes worldwide.

GDM Lindex have just had a repeat order by a customer in Israel to assist in banned substance recovery (drugs). A range of equipment is available to suit numerous requirements. Fixed units, mobile units and covert units. There are five units available within the range. Equipment for use where the process is attended (EG: Customs) and also where it is unattended (EG: Prisons). See attachment for below for product supplied. Full catalogue can be provided on request.

GDM Lindex Ltd attended the Caribbean Association of Fire Chiefs (CAFC) in Trinidad &Tobago for their exhibition and conference. Goto www.joincafc.org/features

Although GDM Lindex supply a full range orf equipment, clothing, regalia and vehicles to the Fire Service, the exhibition was used to specifically demonstrate a range of battery operated hydraulic rescue equipment.
On the last day of the show the Combi tool and 10 tonne cutter were used in a demonstration in cutting up a Mercedes estate.

The Combi Tool and the 20mm diameter rod cutter are dedicated tools, but the other items are part of a modular system and the heads can be interchanged using the same pump.

GDM Charity Karting Challenge 2011 > For the NSPCC

GDM Lindex Ltd held their Annual Charity Karting Challenge. The 2011 competition saw a full house of 25 teams entered. Support for the event outstripped places available and 4 teams had to be turned away.

It was the 14th year the event has been held, and the 100 lap endurance was a fun and competative evening. Two records were broken, we had a new champion and a new lap record. Furthermore there were three totally new teams. We even had two drivers who were over from the Montserrat Fire & Rescue competing in the event!

Mobile Data systems for use by the Police and Fire Brigade whilst in vehicle and patrolling using the “Toughbook”

We are currently in discussion with a Police Force concerning the implementation of a vehicle data system giving officers access to upto date information and real time data. I have attached two videos discussing the effectiveness of the system and the efficiency it brings to the Fire and Police Service respectively. One is from Surrey Fire Brigade, and the other from the Leicestershire Constabulary. On the video from the Leicestershire Constabulary concerning the mobile data system and the Toughbook, it is stated “….in communications terms the biggest step forward in Policing for forty years since we were first issued with radios…”

Furthermore although the Toughbook is mounted in the vehicle it can also be undocked and used by officers as a standalone unit in the office or patrolling.
